Mari admired the nuns dedication to the poor over time she began to question the necessity of the strict rules mother Teresa insisted upon. Mother Teresa's practices were questioned further afield too and some felt her focus on the most destitute and dying was misdirected. As Mari grew into a teenager she became more involved with the Jesuit arm of Catholicism and much more interested in politics. It was these Jesuits who taught us to think about how can you make a change not to give handouts but to create social justice.
