Artificial General Intelligence
I think that artificial intelligence is an attempt to reboot the original idea of artificial intelligence. When AI started out as a field, it was done by a number of people across disciplines. Minsky claimed that cognitive AI was in some sense the same thing as symbolic AI and he made the wrong bet. I suspect his own approaches would lead to difficulties in understanding concepts beyond symbolic systems. This division lasts until many ways even though the gap between cognition and machine learning is closing.
