In your book, you talk about something that's called peto's paradox. This is where certain observations related to cancer could apply within a species but not necessarily across species. In this case, organisms that are more long lived and am larger have much lower cancer rates than you would expect. And it appears that there's a lot of different genetic mechanisms that may underlie that.
