The Right to a Fair Trial

Linda Carty's lawyer failed to contact the British Consul which cost her access to better lawyers. He didn't bother going to sink hits even though he was offered the money. Linda had some baby clothes and a baby car seat in her possession. Is that all enough to kill someone? Or is there enough reasonable doubt? What bigger motive did these three men have for incriminating Linda Carty than to save themselves from the death penalty?
