Is the Foetus a Life?
People often find themselves hard pressed to articulate what the more that they mean is. A thing does not automatically possess the same value as a mature human merely because it resembles a mature human, he says. It's unclear how information about the developing foetuss ability to feel pain or its physical features could help resolve questions about the morality of killing it. But when i ask more questions, it usually turns out that what people really want to know is whether or not the foetus is one of us, right?
