The Fall of the Taliban Special Forces

Since 2001, the US government spent $2 trillion. That is $2,000 billion or $300 million per day every day for two decades in Afghanistan. And in return got an ignominious retreat and a regime that dissolved like a dandelion in a summer's breeze. What should we infer from that juxtaposition? Well, there are many, many lessons to be learned from this. But what it's almost now will be held up as a textbook example of how not to intervene in foreign affairs.
