The Impact of the Pandemic on Tanzania's Tourism Industry
Tourism contributes about 17.5% to the country's GDP and over 1.3 million people visit the country every year. Tanzania was one of the few countries that did not go into a lockdown during the pandemic. In 2022, President Sunu Hassan launched a documentary called the Royal Tour in the US to showcase the rich attractions it has to offer.
