The Importance of Self-Interest
If we're all ultimately acting out of self-interest, then does altruism have any merit? I don't think the question's well-posed. And that's one of those questions that leads into a philosophical, dead end because it's not well-posing. There isn't any such thing as self-interest. It's not the right way to think about it because you're not alone.
