The film was originally cast as Serlina and even completed some of the filming. Hallie Berry, Jennifer Lopez, and Yardley Smith Auditioned for Serlina. Jack Nicholson insisted on the casting of Laura Flynn Boyle. Sony were keen to get Nicholson for their Adam Sandler comedy Anger Management. He's what I think of when I see her think of her.
