I used to think that social media brings out the worst in us, but I have also come to sort of realize, perhaps uncharitably, that it also empowers the worst among us. So if you curate your feet properly, and if you block a lot like I do, then, you know, it can be magical. About what I find unique about our species and unfortunately it leads to hubris is that we are the only animals that can mitigate our own programming. We are wired both for selfishness and altruism and so on,. But we are wired in some deeply disturbing ways, including a lot of tribalism that we see.
