David Rubenstein grew up on a farm and milked the cows as you would expect in Iowa. He got an internship at Boeing one summer and then ultimately got a job there when he graduated from college. Amazingly, he is able to increase the value of the company quite considerably in three years. The amazing part is not only that he's done that, but he rides about 150 miles a week on his bike.
