The Effects of Calcium Supplementation on Calcium Absorption
A thousand milligrams of calcium before exercise increases the amount of calcium compared to a low calcium condition. So our calcium transport, I guess I've never come and thought about that. Are they calcium is transported as a muscle? Don't ask me those questions. There are at least, channels, transport channels. That's true.
Dr Glenn McConell chats with Professor Wendy Kohrt from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has an extremely strong track record of research on how exercise affects bone. She has changed her thinking of late after finding that acute exercise actually has a catabolic effect on bone even though overall, it can have beneficial effects.
