When the Prophet Sala'alaam would come home covered in blood, there were eight times that he was publicly beaten. The mother of Faltima, Rauli Al-A'laaam, took over when Khadidja passed away. He had no physical protection on the outside. When he comes home wounded, it's Faltima who steps in and starts to protect him.
