The Importance of Intuition in Mathematics
Mathematicians have an allergy to writing things that aren't quite exactly true like down but in conversation they're fine. It's actually incredibly hard to learn mathematics by reading the research literature because it is so streamlined and it's just what you need to know. A huge amount of how you develop is talking to your advisor who will be like yeah this other proof goes but this is how you think about it right? And only through those sort of human discussions do you develop this and understand this.
