The Role of a CTO in UX

A lot of UXers are still working very much in the world of their app or website and not considering some of the wider UX implications. For me, part of the UX is how the app is going to appear in maybe iTunes if it's an app. How do we do the larger ecosystem? And I think that's exactly when the magic happens is when I get my clients to see other people struggling with their website.
