The Value of Finitude
The idea that we are sold convenience, things that you can get quickly, a fast meal, a quick buck, all of those things actually take away that lived rich experience of human goodness. A great sentence that he says, when you render the process more convenient, you drain it of its meaning. And I like them, but I like more spending the time, even if it's less convenient. All right, this is where it gets pretty deep. When you have finitude, when you have things that are limited, there is value associated with it. But because we only have around 4,000 weeks, each week you live is one week less that you will have.
