The jerusalem temple that we know from the time of jesus, in the new testament, herod's temple, as we often call it, was destroyed in 70 a d by the romans. And since then, there hasn't been a temple functioning like it was before then. To day, he same spot where the old one was, yes, we'll just get rid of the dome of the rock. It currently occupied.
