The Power of Storytelling in Music
I tend to like the songs that tell stories more than anything, those are the ones that deeply appeal to me. I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. My daughter has been playing Taylor Swift around the house constantly and I've just started really listening to it and it's pretty great. So she is a new person who I have sort of discovered is not just a catchy, I can really write a hook kind of musician, but someone who is genuinely writing things that are important to her.
