What Is the Paolo Alto System?
In the book, you write that there were signs that if Panalalta was normal, it was too normal. The Paolo Alto system starts as a horse stock farm owned by Leland Stanford and he wants to improve the capitalist function of training trotting horses. And so what he and his head trainer, Charles Marvin did is they developed this, what they called the Paolo Palo system based on early childhood education ideas coming out of Germany. They start running these horses as fast as they can as young as they can. That's how the history of man progresses, which is racist in this very 19th century way.
