I think all the eggs were placed in the basket of Michelle Feiffer. But really the problem was that it was Vincent's story in the book, for me as I remember now, was much better than her part. The last scene is wonderful. It wasn't the scene that was written in the novel. Because it's shame because the new ending with the boy coming back with a suitcase and then playing ball with the brother that's been a bit of a vincey.
