Lucy was a constant, malevolent presence in the hospital's neonatal unit. Prosecution alleged that Lucy had injected air into the bloodstream of two of the alleged victims and used insulin to murder two others. The defense explained away the charges against his client as a cover-up for an understaffed and untrained unit. For legal purposes, none of the babies have been publicly named nor have their parents.
