Are We Running From Our Shadows?
The tactics used when joseph smith decided to enter into the practice of plural wives, and how he was able because he didn't make sense of his own underdeveloped shadow struggles with women. My belief is that he had an extreme commitment to this ida that i am a prophet. And so he really held on to what it means to be a prophet. But because he was so committed to himself as a prophet, and he lost touch with the reality that he was also human.
