The Story of Rudolph Fats Derringer

Rudolph Derringer was sentenced to die from the electric chair on July 13, 1931. Fats' last chance to not be executed was executive clemacy. At the time, Franklin D. Roosevelt was the governor of New York. His appeal was denied and his execution was scheduled for January 21, 1932. He only wanted to see his family in his final hours. A prison guard found a homemade weapon while performing a search.
