The Story of the Samudra Mantan
The water miraculously parted so that the Israelites could take this Ark of the Covenant across the river. The Samudra Mantan, what's called the turning of the ocean, is a deeply symbolic story in Hinduism. This Amrita occurs if you churn the ocean and they decided to do it by coiling a serpent around a mountain named Mandara. They were going to pull the serpent back and forth churning this water until it turned into Amrita. Of course, the demons, the Asuras also wanted to gain immortality. So they grabbed one end of the serpent, the head, and the gods grabbed the other end and they pulled.
