Is There a Software Update for MATA?
The MATA spec will allow for some kind of communication automation stuff between these devices. It does not remove entirely the need for apps, like a Nest thermistor that you still need to use the Nest app to configure. Not all bridge based products will support this but Philips are all in on this which I'm happy about.
