The Root of Trust

Steve: I learned recently that something that can happen to virtual machines is that someone manages to successfully convince the VM to install malware into the firmware, which means that it survives like a VM wipe. But unless you are renting an entire instance from somebody and then later on they're renting it to somebody else, they will actually go in between changing those overlike do a hardware wipe.
