Enron and the California Energy Trading Scandal

This is essentially Hawala. They included people like Friends of Andy Fastow's wife, the CFO and a realtor who had sold houses to a lot of Enron employees. And meanwhile, they're putting up capital that allows you to skirt certain formal regulations. In exchange, you're guaranteeing that they're going to make an exorbitant amount of money off of their smallish shares. The other big fraud, of course, is the California energy trading scandal.
