I think both are trying to articulate or put words around something that feels inexpressible, like us humans doing our best to express what we're feeling. And so I of course think of David in the Psalms in his Psalms were Hebrew poetry. So seeing the way he just vacillated from like extreme praise to lament and back and forth has given me permission in writing poetry to do the same. It's interesting because I didn't start writing poetry till after I wrote these liturgies.
