The Future of Artificial Intelligence

When you were in trading, did you ever feel like you were pushing the frontier forward? And research to be able to come up with a new idea and show that something works really is a fulfilling career. When I started grad school, there was this project to work on AI for poker. There is a perfect strategy for two-player poker, which if you play it, you are guaranteed to not lose to any human alive as long as you play enough hands against them. It kind of intersected all my interests: I was really into game theory. I was really in economics. I wasreally into artificial intelligence.
