The History of the Arab World, the Automan Tradition, the Modern Arab World

There is a huge, vast literate culture in the Arab world that long pre date european interventions. We have to sort of grapple with that history on its own terms, and then try to relate it to what happens after European imperialism. The ottomans were alsoa formation of power. And so i think we need to distinguishos i'm saying, in other words, our history has there's a pre colonial history,. That it has power in and of itself.
