If you are coding something like a synchronous function, you can wrap a try catch around it. And inside of that catch is where you will handle it. You will either like the developer know by logging it, sending it over email or letting the actual user know. So unfortunately, I don't have like a silver bullet for you, but it is you have to be thinking in every single possible situation.
