You wrote a recent column for bloomberg in which you looked at some of the reported measures of happiness, am comparing different countries by their happiness. And one of the points you also make is that, you know, the us. Tends not to score super highly on these measures. You argue that that could be ok, that that's a good thing, that that just signals that the us. Is a country of strivers,. People who are a little bit dissatisfied with their lives. But that doesn't necessarily mean that their lives are, at least in objective terms, horrible. It just means that they really want a better life.
