Sally Kohn: There is a lot of support in america, not necessarily for abortion, but for permitting people who are pregnant to make that decision without any interference from the state. And yet, the way this opinion is written, alito places a lot of emphasis on the rights of states to make laws. That flies in the face of the stics that tell us that a really strong majority of Americans would like to see abortion remain a violable alternative," she says. "We live in a highly jerrymandered America where state legislatures don't necessarily reflect the will of the majority"
