I Don't Think You Need to Leave

A new employee at a big firm told her manager she wanted to leave. She said, I don't want a bad mouth, my manager, but I can't get along. And so they worked out a plan where she went back to those advocates and one other person that she'd met kind of serendipitously along the way. Between those three people, they found two other jobs in the firm. It's not a promotion or anything. It's just a lateral move. And she's happy. So there's lots of stories like that where if you just think a little bit about it, maybe you can maneuver.
