The only reason we know about what happened to Teddy is because he confesses on his deathbed in 2021. There's this Marshall who dedicates his entire life to sniffing Teddy out. And when he's done and ready to retire from the marshals, his son, Peter Elliot, also a Marshall picks up the thread. It's like a total family blood feud.
