i'm a leftoas i kind of figured automatically like i would use my left ear, but just my left side is more natural to me. And it generally lines up exactly the spoken word, particularly in the right ear. You're always, people always inclining that right ear. But if they're thinking about something, or maybeyou have a memory that's more emotional, you'll see the right side go down and the left ear will go. It's amazing the way we're wired. I never understoodso tell me more about this. There's an interesting quork of hearing too, which i laughed when when i saw this.

Her book, You're Not Listening is equal parts cultural observation, scientific exploration, and a rousing call to action that's full of practical advice. Murphy explains why we’re not listening, what it’s doing to us, and how we can reverse the trend. She makes accessible the psychology, neuroscience, and sociology of listening while also introducing us to some of the best listeners out there (including a CIA agent, focus group moderator, bartender, radio producer, and top furniture salesman).
