The Dismal Rehearsal of Human Failure

The Apostle Paul begins this chapter in Ephesians with what one commentator calls, a dismal rehearsal of human failure. Verses one to seven are one long sentence in the Greek text. The main subject and verb phrase don't actually come in until verses four and five. You see them there in those words, but God made us alive together with Christ.
