Paradise Regained: A Review

Milton does a great job imposing questions of morality to his audience. However, his own characters seem to lack even the most basic skills of comprehension. Paradise Regained doesn't really have any of these dilemmas or moral choices with its characters. The Son of God is placed in situations where he faces a tough decision and questions of morality are raised. He simply offers a rebuttal and a reference of some kind. This may be by design from Milton, but it does create a frustrating dynamic between the Son of God and Satan,. as well as making the story very, very predictable.
