Type 2 Diabetes and Dietary Patterns

Being overweight and having excessive adiposity seems to be the main driver for insulin resistance and Type 2 diabetes. So it does sort of follow that dietary patterns that are going to reduce your risk of becoming overweight are going to be protective from that perspective anyway. It's definitely the weight and the visceral fat that is driving a lot of this increase in diabetes that we're seeing.
