Dagger provides a standard library of packages, building blocks. You can import two spackages and use them pretty much like you would do in go. dagger also has the ability to define packages that you can share and import. We only add packages that we think are generic building blocks that people can reuse.

In today’s episode, Gerhard is talking to Sam Alba, Docker’s first employee, and Solomon Hykes, the Docker co-founder. Together with Andrea Luzzardi, they are the creators of Dagger, a universal deployment engine that trades YAML for CUE, and uses Buildkit as the runtime.
