People want their culture to be political, because they imagine if everybody watches this and gets the same idea from it i do, then that will cause some sort of pa shift towards a better world. But voting can never be that. Voting puts people in office who ar outside of collective misery and the expression of collective misery. You're not voting to help anybody, including yourself. Men, just look at the carceral state and mass incarceration. That's culture war, but deeply materialized, right? Exactly. I mean, he is the person who embodies a specific current of american identity and political subjectivity. And that is the synthesized, humanized version of that yeoman dream,
