The Tower of Babel and Gomarduk in Babylon
It's difficult to give real hard evidence for this. We think that the word Babel is you know the lots of foreigners all trying to make themselves heard in different languages because it was a very cosmopolitan city. The story of the Tower of Babel and the Bible comes with the massive people all talking and not understanding each other needing a single voice. I think they also wanted to make fun of it but there is actually a Hittite and Hurian text that rather laughs at the Mesopotamans for building mud brick temples that fell down every time.
