When i was growing up, we were supposed to be nothing. We weren't supposed to know spanish. And so socally, in order to survive, i had to just be nuffing um. My mother really struggled to find representation for me at all. When sandra sisneto started writing, my mam was in to her. But when i transferred imto the university of texas, like i'm a hermit, and i'm feeling very awkward trying to assimilate into this dorm.
