Is the Human Model of Intelligence a Part of the Human Experience?

Should we be trying to think of it as capable of some of the subdivided parts of intelligence, what we think of as intelligence, but not others? Yes. And i guess i would hope that we're at least reaching towards a point where we can have a more, you know, a complicated understanding of what memory and learning are. I'm imagining a syphi concept, a story about encountering aliens that, if this makes any sense, what if they could do something that looks like intelligence,. because they can learn and adapt, but they can't do what we would think of as reasoning.
