The Dilemma of Funding Social Movements
I think that is one of the, yeah, the difficult things is like a lot of these social movements require money. People get paid tiny amounts, but it's still something so they can live and obviously organizing big kind of campaigns requires funding as well. Often it is funded by a really, really small number of philanthropists. And I don't think it has been solved because if you have big foundations like the Ford Foundation, they can invest in things that actually reach their ends. It's very tricky to have philanthropists with their own huge monies, the donors and their class agenda that fund things rather than unions or grassroots groups. So yeah, definitely not been solved yet.
