The Story of Candiana Coving by Ray Davis
B-side Candiana Coving was based around the riff from Smokestack Lightning by Howlee Moolff. That song had become a favourite on the British blues scene, and was thus the inspiration for many songs of the type that get called Quintessentially English. All story songs inspired equally by the incidents of everyday life and by children's literature.
