Schools were shut for a long time - primary school children lost around two to two and a half months of reading progress. People who've entered the workforce for the first time in the pandemic may have acquired skills at a slower rate than if they worked with all experienced colleagues. I think there's a lot you do actually miss from not being in the office, at least some of the time.
