The Black Cloud Hanging Over Barca Barracks
The camp was home to a Nazi SS unit during World War II. Things would go missing constantly from within locked rooms. The sounds of heavy objects being dragged and scraping along the floor above me was a nightly occurrence. Heavy fire doors would slam shut all night long, and bangs could be heard constantly. A few times I'd go to the bathroom during the night to find taps or showers running by themselves.
