Sally Kohn is the president of spelman college, a leading educator of black women who go on to earn the dtat of the sciencists. She says that it's very difficult for people with privilege to name it or recognize it. And when i hear white people pushing back against the idea of racial privilege they're often doing so because they struggle up I grew up poor and all my problems have been solved in prison. It doesn't mean all your problems have been resolved but you can focus on them more if you think about what other people are going through too.
