Is Progress Studies a New Field of Study?
I've been teaching now for about 30 years, and I've never had an employer come to me with data about how I ought to teach better. There's a huge literature out there on education, which uses a lot of data but remarkably little that is integrated into the process of helping people teach better. So what shapes economic growth? We have at best the so-so understanding of that. The amount of time spent teaching that at undergraduate graduate levels, I would increase by say 5x.
